Apple Harvest

apple2d

As a teenager, I picked apples after school. It was an old orchard, and a few students helped with the harvest. I remember being up in the limbs on a ladder, picking the apples and carefully placing them in a basket so as not to bruise them. I remember looking out over the sunset and Holliston at dusk. The smell of the apples filled the cool air.
